In the UK, BBC2 TV channel is currently broadcasting (Feb 2000) a series originally made in 1976 called "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin". Things dont appear to have changed much since then - they never do!!.

A wonderful program on the frustrations of the male executive in his mid life crisis late 40's. A sort of Dilbert who goes the whole way. Instead of a boss with pointy hair he has a boss who keeps on saying "I didn't get where I am today by XXX". My favourite was where XXX was "thinking". Most people have had a boss like that.

Soon to come will be Reggie's sojourn into opening a string of retail shops called Grot Shops in which everything is guaranteed useless, such as square hulahoops. (The irony is that they are raging success)

The actor who played Perrin, Leonard Rossiter ( probably not known outside the UK ), died not long afterwards.

This site is a tribute to him and to the author David Nobbs for inventing him and an attempt to update the products for the Internet age.

This site has no official connection with any of the characters or the BBC.
